GM Weight Loss Diet Plan for Vegetarian - Did it really help me to lose weight fast?

Hello friends,

This post is to share about my experience with GM diet vegetarian version.Few days ago, I started my day with Apple. Know why? I thought of being in 7 Days GM Diet Plan second time to reduce my weight. I recollected what I did during the  first time of GM diet plan and noted down. But, I stopped it and had lunch on the same day. My hubby forced me not to be in GM diet atleast till my kid turns 2 years old. I agreed with him and continued with my regular meals. I really need more energy to entertain and engage my kid. He wants my full attention all the time. Hence, I felt that this is not the right time. But, still I thought of trying to post my experience with GM diet plan since it is very good diet program which will give you visible results.

GM Weight Loss Diet Plan - My success story:


Why did it I start?


That was the time when I did not check my weight for 8 months after I leave my home to stay in a hostel and joined my first job. I had all kind of junk foods and lot of ice creams in and out of office which gave me an extreme shock when I checked my weight on a fine day. I had put on 8 kgs. Fortunately, I had moved to a home with my friends where I had a great homely food prepared by us. I gradually lost 3 kgs. Thanks to my friend who introduce GM diet plan at that time which helped me to reduce 3 kgs just in one week. 

What is the net reduction in my weight by following GM diet plan?


I was in GM diet vegetarian variant plan 4 years ago. I got visible results which were really impressive. Yes, I lost 4 kgs on the third day and put on 1 kg in the end. So, I lost 3 kgs totally. Losing 3 kgs is a very big deal, atleast for me.

Was I able to maintain it?


I was able to maintain it afterwards by doing very simple exercises/aerobics at home till I shifted to another location in which I was not able to do any kind exercises and the work was also really hectic at that time. I had to spend day and night in my office. I put on 1 kg in 2 months. Then added 1 kg after my marriage followed by 4 kgs post delivery :-) This is the reason why I wanted to try GM diet plan again. I am sure it will work when I try next time.

1. Do you desperately need to reduce weight?
2. Are you ready to control yourself without eating any other items which are not listed in the GM diet plan?
3. Don't you need any extraordinary energy on those 7 days?

My overall experience with GM diet:


I was happy since I lost 3 kgs totally without any side effects. I could have lost more weight. But I added little salt and was not able to involve in any kind of physical activity since I had to manage my work also. I felt that I did not have good energy during the diet to accommodate exercises. My friends have told me that I turned thin all of a sudden. Few of them jumped to the GM diet immediately by my success story.

  3. It helps for sure but loosing 3-4 kg in one week is not too good unless it is urgent. I took this detox plan with slight modifications and inclusions. Being mother of two small kids, i end of tasting a bite or two from their meal.
    I just omitted Roti n rice. without any exercise - I lost 2kgs in one week.

  4. Yes Shalu, loosing 3-4 kg in a week is not too good. But GM diet plan has good menu to ensure that your body gets enough nutrients. We should not starve to loose weight drastically. That is too bad.. Also, as you said, u can take slight modifications .. I also did the same :-)

    1. Not recommended Aarthy since most of the biscuits contain salt, sugar,preservatives and the list goes on. May be you can have one if you have so much of craving to have it..

    1. Yes Cindy. This diet is useful only if you want to lose weight fast. To get long term results, you may start with this diet for a week followed by balanced healthy diet to maintain the weight. If you take more amount of vegetables and fruits, you will not feel hungry.

  12. I am starting gm diet from 3rd oct 2013 and wd complete diet on 9th oct 2013.....can I have heavy diet on 10th oct 2013.....

    1. Hi Akil, Thanks for visiting my blog. In my case, I did not able to suddenly have heavy diet after the 7 days diet. I did not feel that much hungry. Hopefully you will also not be able to have heavy diet. You can have normal diet. You can have heavy diet once in a while to maintain the weight.

    1. It is advisable to have raw tomatoes. If you desperately want to have cooked one and chutney, go ahead. Have chutney just for touch up. You can have modifications in the diet plan only to a little extent to get a better results. So, only little deviations are good.

    3. You can take 1 bowl of rice.. I had 1 bowl of rice 200 - 250 g of cooked rice.. Note, the measurement is not for raw rice.. I took 200 - 250 g of cooked rice only for lunch. You can even take little more.

      Congrats for completing 1st day. If you complete the first and second days successfully, you will be able to complete the whole diet successfully. Do not give up in the middle and do not forget to post your results :-) Happy dieting!!

    3. Hi, your appetite must have reduced on the 5th day because of the previous days. I had eaten only rice and tomatoes. Also I drank 12 glasses of water. Nothing much. I was able to manage with it and moreover we will not having craving for the food like normal days.

      For 5th dinner, you need to have tomatoes only. Or you can have rice splitted for lunch and dinner. 6th dinner, you can eat vegetables except potatoes.

  23. I have started GM diet plan today. But without awareness, I had a cup of apple fruit juice but without sugar in first day evening. Will i continue the plan or to restart the program again? Kindly clarify

  24. Hi Rama Samy, sorry for the delay in response. You can continue as u have not added sugar in the juice. I know its already late and u must have taken a decision by this time. Please share the results once you are done :)
