Peas Sundal/Pattani Sundal Recipe | Dried Peas Masala Recipe

Hello friends,

Peas Sundal(Pattani Sundal in Tamil) is one of my favorite tea time snacks prepared by my mom. I am here in my native and Peas Sundal/Pattani Sundal is the first snack prepared by her for me. Hope to get more snacks prepared by her and you will see them in my blog down the line. It is such a healthy recipe which is very tasty as well.  Peas Sundal/Pattani Sundal recipe is a very easy tea time snack recipe.

Peas Sundal/Pattani Sundal Recipe | Dried Peas Masala Recipe


Ingredients:


Dried Peas - 150g
Onion - 1 Big finely chopped
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Salt  - As required
Gram Flour - 2 tbsp
Turmeric powder-  A pinch
Ginger - 1 inch(optional)
Oil - 1 tsp
Corriander leaves - for garnishing

To Temper:

Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves - few
Green chilli - 1 or 2 based on your desired level of spiciness
Hing -  A pinch

Preparation:


1. Soak Dried Peas overnight in water.

2. Pressure cook the dried peas with little water in 6 whistles in high flame.



3. Heat oil in a pan. Add the 'To Temper' items and fry well.

4. Fry onions, ginger and add the peas.



5. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, salt.



6. Add a cup of water in Gram flour and mix well. Ensure that there are no lumps. Add it in the pan.



7. Garnish with corriander leaves.
