Home Remedies For Gastric Problem and Pain:
Home remedies for Gastric problem and gastric pain are very effective and they do not have any side effects when compared to medicine or syrups over the counter. All the ingredients in the home remedies I have shared are mostly available in our home. You do not need to run to a shop to buy the ingredients. These home remedies will give you instant relief from gas. All of them were followed by our ancestors and are still being followed by many people. They do not have any side effects since they are all natural remedies for gastric problem.
In Tamil, we call gastric problem as vaayu thollai or vaivu. Read on to know the simple home remedies for gas problem.
Home Remedies For Gastric Problem and Gastric Pain:
1. Sugar and hot water(Strictly not to be followed by Diabetic patients):
Sugar and water are the simplest home remedies for gas problems. Even you can give sugar and water for gas problems in infants and babies.
For adults, add 2 tbsp of sugar in one cup of water. Mix well and heat the mixture. Bring it to boil. Drink this mixture either hot or warm. Do not allow it cool down completely. Drink it as hot as you can. Drinking hot can give you instant relief.
For gas problems in infants and kids, add tiny amount of sugar in warm water. Mix it well and feed them. Take care not to burn the tongue of your tiny one. Check the temperature before giving.
2. Jeera(Cumin seeds) and Water:
Add 2 tsp of cumin seeds(Jeeragam in Tamil) in 1 cup of water. You can also add fenugreek seeds(optional). Heat the mixture in a pan and bring it to boil. Have it hot.
3. Garlic and Milk:
Take one small garlic pod or 10 garlic flakes. Peel off the skin from the garlic flakes. Add milk and garlic flakes in a pan and heat the pan. Allow the garlic flakes to cook. We usually cook it in a pressure cooker along when we cook the rice. Eat it to get instant relief. It is good for feeding mothers to increase the breast milk.
1. Based on the intensity of your gas problem, you might need to take one to three times a day.
2. You can add sugar with garlic and milk if required.
3. Try to follow the below home remedies for few times and your gastric pain will go off. If the pain and gastric trouble continue, consult a doctor.
