Fenugreek for hair - Homemade Hair Pack with Neem, Hibiscus, Fenugreek, Moong Dal & Curd:


Thanks to my sister who brought this wonderful hair pack to my notice. This Homemade hair pack works very well for my dry hair. She got this homemade hair recipe from her friend whose hair so long and strong. She told that this is the secret for her long hair and she follows the below hair care regime from her childhood. Try this homemade hair pack to promote your hair growth and to maintain your hair soft and silky. Any doubt?? You do not need to believe me without trying on your own hair. You can guess how soft your hair will be just after you wash your hands after making this hair pack at your home.

Homemade Hair Pack with Neem, Hibiscus, Fenugreek, Moong Dal and Curd:


Ingredients:


This is for mid length hair. Change the measurement according to your length of the hair. 

Fenugreek - 2.5 tsp
Moong Dal - 2.5 tsp
Hibiscus - 8 - 10 leaves
Neem - 10 leaves
Curd - 2 tsp



Preparation:


1. Soak fenugreek seeds and moong dal overnight in water. You can use methi for hair pack of any kind.




2. Clean the hibiscus leaves well before using the leaves for making hair pack.

3. Extract thick Neem juice from Neem leaf by grinding it with little water. Using neem leaf for hair is a real good treatment for your hair.

4. Grind fenugreek seeds, moong dal and hibiscus in a mixie with the neem juice to make a fine paste. Add curd to the paste. Ensure that the paste is not so watery. You should be able to sit with it on your head for sometime.




5. Apply the homemade hair pack on your hair before bathing. Allow it to dry(Minimum 10 minutes).

6. Wash off your hair. You do not need any shampoo or conditioner. It just takes sometime to wash the hair. But it is really worth it

Just a few queries:-1)Can I use been powder and fenugreek powder? 2)is curd recommended for dry hair(I have heard that its best for oily hair) that's it! keep up the good social work through your posts on these DIYs :)

    1. Hi Nidhal, Thanks for your lovely comment. Fenugreek powder can be used and what is the other powder you mean here? Curd is best for oily hair. Also, it is good for dry and damaged hair too. I am using it actually.

    2. Oops it was a typo :p I wanted 2 ask 1)whether I can use neem,fenugreek,moong powders instead of their solid counterparts? 2)since aloe vera is best suited 4 dry hair so can I substitute freshly made aloe vera juice instead of curd?That's it :) Thanks a ton 4 replying back :)

  2. Hi Nidhhal.. sorry for replying back after 2 years.. I missed this comment somehow and noticed it just now. Replace with powders only if you cannot make it from scratch. Fresh one is the best. Yes.. Yes can use Aloe Vera. It is good..

    should hair be shampooed immediately after washing with this hair pack? what about the curd smell?

    1. Shampooing is based on your preference. It is not mandatory. However if you feel the smell of the curd disgusting, you can shampoo. We are using less curd only. Using fresh curd(not sour one) will not be smelling.
