Pomegranate Milkshake is the best way to add pomegranate in the diet of babies and kids. Even most of us feel lazy to eat pomegranate because of the seeds. I always make pomegranate milkshake when my kid was a baby. I have already posted how to make Apple Almond Milkshake recipe which is another healthy recipe that can be given for babies and kids. Now, sometimes he eats pomegranate as such. Sometimes, he spit out the seeds or say no to it after eating few bites. I make pomegranate milkshake in such situations. On Sundays, I make Pomegranate milkshake and keep it ready for my hubby and kid before they wake up. I give the milkshake once they wake up instead of plain milk. All of us love the milkshake. It has a pleasant flavor and the splash of red color makes it more attractive.

One good thing about Pomegranate milkshake is, it has natural sweetness. You can even avoid adding sugar to the milkshake or add very little honey if you wish. I used to add pomegranate daily when I was pregnant as it increases the blood flow to the baby.

Pomegranate Milkshake Recipe - How To Make Pomegranate Milkshake

Ingredients:

  • Pomegranate - 1 medium size
  • Milk - 400 ml
  • Sugar - 2 - 3 tbsp




Instructions:


1. Deseed the pomegranate and put the pomegranate seeds in a mixer.

2. Add 100 ml milk and sugar in the mixer. Give it a pulse. Reason for adding milk little by little is to ensure that the milk does not come out of mixer and to make a fine paste of the pomegranate seeds.

3. Add another 100 ml milk and grind it for 30 secs.

4. Add the remaining milk and grind till the milkshake becomes frothy.

5. Serve chilled.


How to make a chilled pomegranate milkshake:
There are lot of options to make a chilled pomegranate milkshake.

1. Use boiled and chilled milk for making the milkshake. Serve it immediately.

2. Prepare the milkshake and keep it in fridge before serving.

3. Add crushed ice cubes while blending it.

4. Add ice cubes while serving it.

I would recommend to go for 1 or 2nd option. Since adding ice cubes will make the milkshake more diluted and the taste will get affected.
