You can use this homemade lip scrub once or twice a week.

I always like to have smoother lip scrub. So, I use 1 tsp juice. It gives a good glossy effect. I never like to wash it away :) It tastes so good and no one have heart to wash it off. Instead most of us will lick it off which I do most of the times. It also gives you a good glossy effect if you make a thinner version. So, if you are going outside, you can leave it on as it can give you glossy effect for sometime. It does not stay long like lip gloss but it will give you a short term glossy effect like lip balm.

Storage suggestion:

As the DIY Homemade lip balm recipe is quite easy and made with common ingredients, it is great if you can make it fresh everytime. If not, you can make it for 2 applications. You can store it in an clean and dry air tight container. Refrigerate it as we are adding juice.

Sugar for Lips - Benefits:

Sugar in the homemade lip scrub helps to exfoliate the dead skin. It is a good anti-aging ingredient.

Pure Honey is a natural moisturizer which has a lot of beauty benefits for your lips. It helps to moisturize your lips. It helps to treat dark, dry and chapped lips. Regular application of honey helps you to treat dark lips effectively and helps you to get pink lips naturally. Honey makes your lips smoother. It has antibacterial and healing properties too.

Lemon/ Sweet Lime / Orange can lighten your lips naturally. People with very dry, chapped and irritating lips should avoid it.
