Veg Spicy Masala Sandwich Recipe - How To Make Veg Sandwich:


There are lot of ways you can make veg sandwich. I tried different kind of sandwich recipes and this is the first sandwich recipe I am going to post it here. Of course, this is my most favorite sandwich recipe. I am a fan of tomato sauce. Since this veg sandwich recipe is coated with tomato sauce inside, you will like it very much if you are also a fan of tomato sauce. My hubby is not a fan of tomato sauce. He mostly avoids it. But he also like this veg sandwich recipe. My kid also enjoyed it. Let us move on to know how to make veg sandwich. Try this awesome veg sandwich for your dinner. It saves your time and makes your dinner a delicious one. Also, veg sandwich is a very good lunch box recipe.

Veg Sandwich Recipe

Prep Time: 30 mins    | Serves: 3

Easy and healthy vegetable sandwich recipe

Ingredients:

  • Bread - 10 slices
  • Onion - 1 Big onion finely chopped
  • Tomato - 1 small size finely chopped
  • Carrot - 1 finely chopped
  • Capsicum - 1/2 finely chopped
  • Green Chilli - 1 finely chopped
  • Red Chilli Powder - 3/4 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1/8 tsp
  • Salt- As required
  • Tomato sauce - 3 tbsp
  • Ghee/Butter - To toast
  • Oil - 2 tsp








Instructions:


1. Heat oil in a pan and add the finely chopped onions and green chilli. Saute well till they turn golden brown color.







2. Add tomato and fry for 2 minutes.






3. Add carrot, capsicum, red chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt. Fry till the vegetables are half cooked or as per your desired consistency. This is for filling the sandwich.








4. Add one tablespoon of tomato sauce or ketchup now and give a quick stir. Switch off the stove.







5. Apply ghee or butter on the bread slices.

6. Take 4 slices of bread and apply tomato sauce on the other side.







7. Take the remaining 4 slices and keep the veg sandwich stuff we prepared on the other side. Cover the stuffed bread slices with the tomato sauce coated bread slices.






6. Toast it in a tawa or sandwich maker. I have used my sandwich maker.
















Notes:

1. You can omit the green chillies if you are going to serve it for kids.

2. Apply tomato sauce in more quantity on the bread slices if you are a fan of tomato sauce. It will be juicy too.

3. You can include other vegetables like cabbage also.

4. The chilli powder quantity can be adjusted according to your taste.
5. You can add a tbsp of chopped coriander leaves too.

6. The quantity of stuff you will get depends on the size of vegetables you use. So, increase the number of bread slices and have more delicious veg sandwich.
