Veg cheese sandwich is a great breakfast recipe which can make you feel full easily. The crispy golden brown color sandwich with cheese melted inside will make you feel completely satisfied. I used Carrot to make the veg cheese sandwich this time. You can add any vegetable to it or just add carrot alone. Carrot, onions, and cheese just make this sandwich a delicious one. The recipe is so simple and you can even pack it as morning snacks for kids. You can serve it as a healthy evening snacks too.



When it comes to preparing  veg cheese sandwich, you can modify the quantity of the almost all the ingredients as per your requirement. Some people like it to have more sweet whereas some may not like the sweetness in the sandwich. Some might like it to be filled with more cheese and some may not like it. Ingredients:

  • Bread slices - 6
  • Carrot - 2 small carrots grated
  • Big onion - 1 finely chopped
  • Cheese - As required(1.5 tbsp approx)
  • Sweet Tomato Sauce - 1 tbsp or as required
  • Salt - As required
  • Ghee or butter - for coating the slices


Veg Cheese Sandwich Recipe - Carrot Cheese Sandwich - Instructions:



1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a pan. Saute the chopped onions till they turn translucent. Add grated carrot and saute till the carrot shrinks. Add cheese, tomato sauce and salt now. Saute for a minute and switch off the stove.





2. Apply butter on one side of a bread and place the filling. Take another bread and apply butter on one side. Place the buttered side of the second bread on the filling. Toast in a tawa or toaster till both the side turn crisp and golden brown color.




3. Repeat the steps for all the bread slices.



Notes:
1. You can even directly add the filling ingredients without cooking. If you are going to give it for kids, you need to cook it.
2. Adding tomato sauce is purely optional. But it gives a nice sweet flavor.
3. You can add cumin seeds powder, chat masala powder and pepper powder also.
