1. Remove old nail polish from your finger nails using a good nail polish remover. Try to get a non-acetone nail polish remover to protect your nails. Use a cotton pad/swab to remove your nail polish with remover.
2. Do not shake the nail polish bottles which may cause bubbles. Just rub the bottle back and forth between your hands.
3. Base Coat is very important to prevent your nails turning yellowish in color especially while using dark nail polish colors.
4. While taking the nail polish from the bottle, swirl the wand of the brush against the sides of the bottle to remove the excess nail polish from the brush which may result in uneven/flooded application.
5. Applying two thin coats of nail polish is very much important to get a professional look. Always leave a 2 mm gap between the skin and cuticle. This ensures very neat look.
6. Make the first stroke in the center of the nail. Then apply the next stroke in the left side followed by the right side. The strokes should be long ones till the end of the tips. Three strokes are enough to paint your nail.
7. Wait to get the first coat to get dried to avoid any mess. Then apply the second coat. The order of the strokes should be center, right and then left side.
8. Now it is time to remove the excess nail polish that got onto your skin and the sides of the bottle. Use a cotton pad/swab soaked in nail polish removed to remove them. I prefer to use the cotton swab in the ear buds which can make your work easy.
9. Allow the nail polish on your nails to dry.
10. Apply a clear nail polish/top coat in the same style of 3 strokes to protect the nail polish color from chipping.
