I used to roti/phulka atleast once a week. I thought of trying out to something different from the normal roti without any additional work and tried this Masala roti recipe. I was very happy with the outcome. The taste was different and spicy. I am sure you will also like this Masala Chapathi. An additional effort of one minute can turn your chapathi/roti a spicy one.
Ingredients:
Wheat Flour - 400 grams(Makes approx 10 Masala chapathis)
Red Chilli powder - 2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/8 tsp
Kasthuri Methi - 2 to 3 tsp
Garam Masala Powder - 1 tsp
Chat Masala Powder(optional) - 1/2 tsp
Cumin seeds - 1 tsp or Jeera powder - 1 tsp
Curd - 2 tbsp
Oil/Ghee - 2 tsp
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Salt - As required
Water - As required
1. Take a wide bowl and add all the ingredients except oil and water.Mix well.
2. Add water little by little and knead it well till a soft dough is formed which should not be sticky. Take your own time to form a smooth dough. Add oil/ghee to help you out.
3. keep it covered for 20 to 30 minutes.
4. Knead the dough again to form small lemon sized balls.
5. Roll each ball into thin circles with the roller pin. Use wheat flour/Plain Flour(Maida) for dusting for smooth rolling.

Preparation:
1. Take a wide bowl and add all the ingredients except oil and water.Mix well.
2. Add water little by little and knead it well till a soft dough is formed which should not be sticky. Take your own time to form a smooth dough. Add oil/ghee to help you out.
3. keep it covered for 20 to 30 minutes.
4. Knead the dough again to form small lemon sized balls.
6. Heat the Tawa in medium flame and cook both the sides of masala roti till golden color spots appear here and there.
Now, the masala chapathi/masala roti is ready to eat. Keep it in a hot pack.
